Personal Experience
Roberto is an Industrial Engineer from Universidad Católica (Chile), and a Master of Industrial Engineering in the same University. Prior to joining Star Energy Partners ,he founded Industrial Minerals Chile and El Origen SPA, representing Industrial Minerals Switzerland a trading and logistic company in the mining industry.
Previously, (2012 – 2020), he exercised several senior management positions, where he became the Chief Commercial Officer of Codelco Chile, the largest copper producing company in the world and the second largest producer of molybdenum.
Before his position in Codelco during 2007-2012 he exercised the position of Sales Manager Copper Concentrates in Anglo American.
In that position he delivered the strategy and the final negotiations for the expansion of Los Bronces mine and the sale of Collahuasi mine, the second largest copper mine in the world 44% owned by Anglo American.
Roberto started his career in ENAP Sipetrol (2002-2006), the international branch of the Chilean state-owned oil & gas company (ENAP) where he exercised the role of Planning & Control Manager for Middle East & North Africa regions, developing new ventures in Egypt, Libya, Iran and Yemen.
